Let’s calculate the following probabilities (P):

1)      P(women preferred drama) = 13/90 (as % only x 100 = 14,4%)

2)      P(men preferred crime) = 22/90 (x 100 = 24,4%)

Conditions:
Voorwaardes:
-          If both of the coins landed on HEADS [female give the male 3 points/sweets]
As beide op KOP land [meisies gee die seuns 3 punte].

-          If both of the coins landed on TAILS [female give the male 1 point/sweet]
As beide op STERT land [meisies gee die seunrs 1 punt].

-          If the boy’s coin not the same as the girl’s coin [male give the female 2 points/sweets]

Let’s put the possible outcomes on a tree diagram.

Determine the possible outcomes using the tree diagram:

1)      What is the probability that both coins will land on heads?

P(Both heads) = 1/4

2)      What is the probability that one coin will land on heads and the other on tails?

P(One land on tails) = 2/4

3)      P(Both tails) = 1/4

4)      P(1st H; 2nd T) = 1/4

5)      P(1st T; 2nd H) = 1/4
